Insignificant Other (feat. Tricia Lee Kelshall)

1.
I watch as you give your heart to another I watch as you let down all your barriers And I die a little more inside And I add to this river of tears I’ve cried Now I can do nothing As you give everything to another It’s quite clear to me I was nothing more than your insignificant other I listen as you talk about him I listen knowing he captured your heart I couldn’t win And I try to keep the hurt inside And I struggle to make my feelings for you subside Now I can do nothing As you give everything to another It’s quite clear to me I was nothing more than your insignificant other I wish I didn’t love you I wish I didn’t care I wish I was over you I wish it wasn’t more than I could bear Now I can do nothing As you give everything to another It’s quite clear to me I was nothing more than your insignificant other
2.
A few perfect dates I was swept away I found myself starting to believe But once again I was being naïve Thought that maybe you were different That someone like you comes around once in a blue moon But it turned out you were just indifferent Guess I was optimistic too soon A few perfect nights Where everything felt so right I found myself starting to believe But once again I was being deceived Thought that maybe you were different That someone like you comes around once in a blue moon But it turned out you were just indifferent Guess I was optimistic too soon So now you’ve gone back to your cheating ex It won’t be long before he’s once again moved on to his next Your change of heart was so quick Did his 1:00 am smashed flowers at your door do the trick? Thought that maybe you were different That someone like you comes around once in a blue moon But it turned out you were just indifferent Guess I was optimistic too soon I won’t let you destroy my hope Even when I’m walking on a tightrope

about

This 3 track EP features the DiPettius Remix of Insignificant Other and the radio edit and original version of Optimistic Too Soon which is originally from the Involved But Not Committed album. All songs feature the heavenly vocals of international recording artist Tricia Lee Kelshall. Below is a little breakdown of the album.

1. Insignificant Other (DiPettius Remix) - The original version of this song appeared on the Crave album. We love this darker take on it that band member Douglas Pettus did under the moniker DiPettius.

2. Optimistic Too Soon (Radio Edit) - The radio edit of Optimistic Too Soon.

3. Optimistic Too Soon (Original Version) - This song originally appeared on the Involved But Not Committed album, however the beginning was mixed into the ending of the previous song on the album. Now for the first time the original version with the full unmixed intro is available.
